The 2026 reality
UAE rules changed. Free-zone companies now need to register for corporate tax, and qualifying income can stay at 0% if you're structured correctly. E-invoicing is rolling out too. We set you up to stay on the right side of it.
An SPC Free Zone licence starts at AED 4,499 with our 10% discount (SPC list AED 4,999), issued instantly. A typical all-in setup with one visa and co-working runs about AED 13,700 once the establishment card, E-Channel, visa and workspace are added. See the full cost breakdown.
With complete documents, an SPC Free Zone licence is issued instantly. Each residence visa takes about five to seven working days.
Yes. All Sharjah free zones, including SPC, allow 100% foreign ownership with no local sponsor. Most mainland activities now also allow full foreign ownership.
The dual licence lets one company hold both a free-zone and a mainland (SEDD) licence together, so you keep free-zone benefits while also serving UAE mainland clients, without forming two separate entities.
All UAE companies must register for corporate tax. A qualifying free-zone person can keep 0% on qualifying income; other income is taxed at 9% above the threshold. Getting your structure and bookkeeping right is what protects the 0%. We cover this on our corporate tax page.
Company formation can be done remotely. A short visit is usually needed for your residence visa medical and Emirates ID biometrics, and for some bank account openings. We tell you upfront what needs a visit.
